Series 3000MR/3000MRS Photohelic® Switch/Gage
Combines Differential Pressure Gage with Low/High Set-Points, Compact Size
Using solid state technology, the Series 3000MR/3000MRS Photohelic® Switch/Gages combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits. For applications requiring high cycle rates, choose 3000MRS models with SPST (N.O.) solid state relays. All models provide both low and high limit control and include 18-inch (45 cm) cable assemblies for electrical connections.
Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig (1.725 bar). Optional construction is available for use to either 35 psig (2.42 bar) or 80 psig (5.51 bar).
Included Accessories: mounting ring, snap ring; 18" (45 cm) cable assembly; (2) 3/16" tubing to 1/8" NPT adapters; (2) 1/8" NPT pipe plugs; (4) 6-32 x 1-1/4" RH machine screws (panel mounting); and (3) 6-32 x 5/16" RH machine screws (surface mounting).

Questions
- Question
- What is the NEMA rating of a Photohelic®?
- Answer
- Our standard is considered to be NEMA 1 rated for general purpose. We do have weatherproof (NEMA 4X) and explosion-proof (NEMA 7 & 9) enclosures available.
- Question
- Your catalog says the A3000 series photohelic needs 120VAC, but "Special units for other voltages are available." Does that mean I can order a 24VDC model? If so, what would the part no. be? Thanks
- Answer
- We do offer two voltage options which are -24VAC: 24 VAC Relay Pack or -240 VAC: 220/240 VAC Relay Pack. Unfortunately we do not offer a VDC option with the A3000 Series. However, you could consider the Series MP, Mini-Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch/Gage or the Series 3000 MR or 3000 MRS which all offer the 24 VDC Power Requirement.
- Question
- What is the power consumption (watts) for a model 3000mr photohelix?
- Answer
- The power consumption for the Series 3000MR Photohelic switch/gage is 3 Watts.
- Question
- We have a Photohelic model 3000-OMR what is the correct replacement model? Is a 3000MR-O the same thing?
- Answer
- Based on the range of 0-0.5 inches of water and the 3000MR/MRS series, the part number is 3000MR-0.
- Question
- Will a Dwyer pressure switch be damaged if the pressure exceeding the maximum set-point is applied to the switch?
- Answer
- No. Not unless the maximum pressure rating of the switch is exceeded.
- Question
- What restrictions, if any, are imposed for the Magnehelic® and Photohelic® gages in vacuum service?
- Answer
- In applications involving higher vacuums than 20" Hg, leakage due to gage housing porosity becomes the limiting factor.
