On April 22, a group of Dwyer Instruments, Inc. volunteers assisted at the Friendship Botanic Gardens for Earth Day. The Friendship Botanic Gardens is a local event venue and public garden, located near the Dwyer headquarters in Michigan City, IN. The venue has a long history, with its initial inspiration hailing from the 1930’s Chicago World’s Fair. It features both formal gardens and wooded nature trails.   Read more »

On August 4, a group of Dwyer Instruments, Inc. volunteers visited the Dunes Summer Theatre. The team assisted with a number of projects, including: replacing deteriorating steps; painting areas inside the theatre; and enhancing the landscaping around the front entrance.   Read more »

On July 19, Dwyer Instruments employees and interns dedicated their time and energy to the Michiana Humane Society and SPCA. The Michiana Humane Society strives to find "forever homes" for dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, and other small animals in LaPorte County, IN and Berrien County, MI. Run solely on donations and volunteer work, the Michiana Humane Society provides a safe harbor to an average of 1,000 to 1,200 animals yearly.   Read more »

On July 13, a group of Dwyer Instruments, Inc. volunteers travelled to Lake Hills Elementary School to assist teachers with their Kindergarten Countdown morning activities. Children practiced writing and learning by tracing letters, participating in coloring exercises, and building letters with colored blocks. They also followed along with visual learning programs, practiced reciting their ABC’s, and learned how to behave in a classroom setting.   Read more »

Each year Pritchett Controls, one of Dwyer's distributors, organizes a golf outing to raise money for their American Cancer Society's Relay for Life team. The drive is in memoriam of Mike Case, an engineer for Pritchett Controls who passed away from cancer. The fundraiser, which also marks Pritchett Controls' 18th Annual Customer Appreciation Day, will be held on May 6.   Read more »

Dwyer recently wrapped up another community fundraiser, which brought employees together in support of the Stepping Stone Shelter for Women. From February 8 to March 4, employees were asked to donate a variety of household items to assist the shelter in their community efforts.   Read more »

The Dwyer Employee Association organized a fundraiser this December to support the local Michiana Humane Society. From December 11 to December 22, Dwyer employees were asked to donate animal food, bedding, toys, and cleaning supplies.   Read more »

Dwyer sponsored a Valparaiso University engineering design project from the 2012-13 school year. This project, which was to redesign one of Dwyer's capacitive pressure sensors, was recently awarded a patent.    Read more »
